The Goddess Danu

Introduction

·         Something has been bugging me for over a year now.

·         I found evidence of Hinduism in the Pre-Historic world – almost all over the world!

·         Mexico, Guatemala, Honduras and down to Peru; I found evidence of ancient Hindu temples, Sanskrit language and Hindu prayers (3,000 years and more) all over the Americas (Chapter 12c).

·         Burma to Indonesia to Cambodia; I found evidence of ancient Hindu temples, Sanskrit language and Hindu prayers. (Haven’t started my research into China, Japan and Korea yet)

·         Russia, Poland, and Serbia; I found ancient statue to Shiva in Russia, prayers to the Hindu Holy Trinity (the Holy Triglav of Visnji, Ziva and Brajanj. Who were the Hindu Vishnu, Shiva and Brahma) in Poland and Serbia. (Chapter 15c).

·         Or even better the Hindu offerings alter, the Shiva-lingam found all over the Roman lands and was even kept in the Etruscan Museum at the Vatican in Rome! Also, this Shiva-Lingam is found in Ireland, Norway, Africa, Japan, South Asia and Mexico. (Chapter 15f).

·         Interesting how I find that the Goddess is also linked to the Greeks, Mycenaeans, Minoans, Pelasgians and Achaeans. The Greeks today might be half Syrians thanks to the Syrian/Achaean invasion?

·         You will learn how Ireland got its name.

·         There must be a more direct connection to Hinduism in EUROPE!!! And I am starting to find it now!

The Tuatha De Danaan: The Children of the Goddess Danu

The Irish today have Shiva-Lingams that they pray to (introduced by the Romans even). I guess these Irish today must do it in secret, mostly because Christians are pretty violent people and will also chastise them (…used to kill them in ancient times).

The Romans introduced the worship of Shiva Lingam to European countries. Why?

I wanted to know more about these Irish and I found some really interesting things out of this exercise.

So, we begin with the Irish Goddess Danu. I find that this Irish Goddess Danu is the SAME name as the Vedic/Hindu Goddess Danu! So, the Irish kept the same name as the Hindus. Amazing!

Danu is one of the wives of the Vedic GOD Kashyapa.

·         Danu (Sanskrit: दनु, IAST: Danu) is a Hindu primordial goddess. She is mentioned in the Holy text, Rigveda, to be the mother of the eponymous race known as the Danavas.

·         The word Danu described the primeval waters that this deity perhaps embodied.

Note: I am now writing about the Vedic GODs and NOT the Hindu GODs. The Vedic period happened before the Hinduism period. The Hindu period does embrace most of the Vedic culture though, just that the names may change a little and some GODs disappear.

 Also, “Kashyapa” is most probably the Greek Kronos. Thus Kashyapa/Kronos is also the father of Indra/Zeus and Varuna/Poseidon of which he is.

 But Danu is not the mother of Indra/Zeus and Varuna/Poseidon. That person is Aditi, the other wife of Kashyapa.  

In Japan, the Vedic GODs are known as the following;

·         Taishakuten = Indra/Zeus

·         Fūten = Vāyu/Aeolus

·         Emmaten = Yama/Hades

·         Rasetsuten = Nirṛti/Rākṣasa

·         Katen = Agni/Ignis

Archaeology of Irish sites uncover that today’s Irish certainly looked very different to the small, dark native peoples of Ireland at ancient times. The Danann on the other hand are generally described as tall with red or blonde hair, blue or green eyes, and pale skin.

 Interestingly, archaeology has unearthed evidence all around the world of small colonies of red-haired people from the same time period as the Tuatha De Danann’s arrival in Ireland.

 Excavations in Xinjiang Province, China have revealed mummies of red and blonde haired people living around also four thousand years ago.

 The extremely well-preserved Egyptian mummy of a nobleman Yoya, c. 1400 BC, shows he had blonde hair and Nordic features, as did his wife, Thuya. She was also Tutankhamun’s great-grandmother.

 Note: So, we learn here that the original people in Ireland were dark skinned and small bodied. Also, we learn that King Tutankhamen’s great-grand parents were white blonde’s! Cool huh? See my Chapter 13e on King Tut and his elongated skull! Not to mention that half of West European men have King Tut’s DNA today.

Irish Redheads

In my previous chapter (Chapter 13c) I had mentioned about the red and blonde color hair is the Anunnaki colors. Together with blue and green eyes.

 So, one could imagine that the Goddess Danu has the DNA for these colors (Anunnaki?). Because Ireland has the most Redheads? (Not to forget next door - the English and Dutch.)

There must have been another Goddess who came over to Northwest Europe with Blonde DNA traits. This is certainly possible because the Sage Kashyapa had 13 wives (besides the Goddess Danu)!

Goddess Danu all over Europe!

The influence of the Goddess Danu did not stay with just Ireland! There is ample evidence of the Goddess in many European countries.

The Goddess Danu is known as the river Goddess, which is why my picture of the statue of the Goddess in Bali (above) is situated by a river also.

In Europe, you will find the evidence of the Goddess by the following river names;

·         Don

·         Dan

·         Donnan

·         Domnann

·         Donetsk

·         Dniepr and other river names:

·         Also, Anu, Anann, Anand, Ana, Anis, Danann, Brigid, Boann

·         She was known as Danae by the Greeks even! Yes, the Greeks!

·         Don’t forget that she is known as Danuni by the Northern Greeks!

  

Don, Donets, Dnieper and Dniestr. Dniepr and Dniestr, from Danapris and Danastius, are presumed from Scythian Iranian *Dānu apara “river afar” and *Dānu nazdya- “river near”, respectively.

Note:

·         The Scythians were an East Iranian-speaking people who had invaded Media, revolted against King Darius and threatened to disrupt trade between Central Asia and the shores of the Black Sea as they lived between the Danube and Don Rivers and the Black Sea.

·         The Scythians are the Indo-Iranian Aryan race! The Danu are the Indo-European Aryan race!

·         It is possible that Dānu in Scythian as in Avestan was a generic word for "river": Dnieper and Dniestr, from Danapris and Danastius, are presumed to continue Scythian *dānu apara "far river" and *Dānu nazdya- "near river", respectively.

·         In Ossetian Language (modern Alanic) Dan still means river. In Avestan it is Danu, also meaning River.

Why Is there so many references of the Goddess Danu in Ukraine and Russia? Because the Indo-European-Aryan race was originally located between the Black Sea and the Caspian Sea.

  

It is possible to Hypothesize that a big chunk of the European Aryans were descendants of the Goddess Danu! Including the Greeks?

 So, this tale starts in Greece, long before the rise of the Mycenaeans, there lived a race of nomads known as the Pelasgians. Tribal in nature, they were seafarers who claimed to be born of the Great Goddess Danu. (The Mycenaeans and the Minoans can be considered Pelasgians.)

 The Pelasgians ruled Greece for many years until the coming of the Achaeans, who invaded Thessaly from Syria in about 1900 B.C. The Achaeans were patriarchal herdsmen who worshipped the Indo-European trinity of gods Mitra, Varuna, and Indra. These gods would later evolve into Zeus, Poseidon, and Hades, as the Achaeans would evolve into the Mycenaen Greeks.

 They conquered Greece and tried to destroy the semi-matriarchal Bronze age Pelasgians, but failing that, they simply assimilated them through compromise, accepting matrilineal succession, and even accepting the Great Goddess Danu herself.

Note: Yet again the holy trinity comes to play. I find that everyone from Europe to India to Iran has this similar holy trinity. Mitra-Varuna-Indra or Brajanj-Visnji-Ziva or Brahma-Vishnu-Shiva or Hades-Poseidon-Zeus. Where Zeus and Poseidon are always portrayed as Indra/Ziva/Shiva (or Siva in Mexico even), and Varuna/Visnji/Vishnu. The odd one out is the Brahma/Hades/Mitra group. But I am now finding that there is a slight difference when we move from the Vedic age to the Hinduism age. Also, it looks like the Greeks are half Syrians??? Their Achaean conqueror was Syrian!!! Damn!

 Some Achaeans would roam the Mediterranean Sea, sacking Cnossos in 1400 B.C. These tribes would become the Ionians, and they would become people of the isles of Lesbos, Chios, Cnidos, Thrace, and Troad. In time they would unite with the Phoenicians, Philistines, Mitanni, Jebusites, Amorites, and the Hittites to attack Egypt, where they would be crushed by the Pharoah Ramesis III, who by the way names them the Danuna on his temple walls in 1187 B.C.

 Note: Pretty cool that we now have a reference to the children of the Goddess Danu on the temple walls in Egypt! So, this story I am writing has complete credibility!

 Greek philosopher Homer spoke of them as the Danaoi. The Greek Herodotus would mention the Syrian Achaean invasion of Greece in the first paragraph of History. He also mentions the capture, by the Phoenicians of the Danaan Shrine of the White Goddess Io at Argos, then the religious capital of the Peloponnese (the Cretans had colonized it in about 1750 B.C.)

 Note: Danu is the White Goddess, and the Greek Goddess Io is also a White Goddess. So, I safely say that the Vedic/Hindu/Irish Goddess Danu is the Greek Goddess Io!

 Better yet, the northern fleeing confederation of Pelasgian tribes, called themselves the Tuatha De Danaan that we follow from here. As they migrated north, they left their mark upon all the races that they touched until at last they reached Denmark where they established a great kingdom. Denmark means “Kingdom of the Danaans.” They built four great cities; great Falias, shining Gorias, Finlas, and rich Murias, which lay to the south.

 Note: Hot Dang! Even the country Denmark is named after the Goddess Danu!

 They came to Ireland in 1472 B.C. and saw that the land was ruled by a race of creatures known as the Firbolgs. Could be Neanderthals or Denisovans or just caveman? The Tuatha De Danaan sent a message to the king of the Firbolgs that they would not fight the Firbolgs if King Eochaid would cede them half the land. Well, it didn’t work and they went to war and surely the Firbolgs were crushed.

In 1268 B.C., a race of people known as the Milesians invaded Ireland. After a bloody battle the Milesians won.  The Queen of Tuatha De Danaan asked the conquerors, the Milesians to name the land after her name, Eire. And so, Ireland got its name – from the Queen Eire! Pretty cool huh?

 Also, the tribe became a nation of roving warriors, their blue eyes and pale faces with long, curly yellow hair marking their race.

 According to Roman Tacitus in his Annals and Histories, the Germans claimed to be descendants of the Mannus, the son of Tuisto. Tuisto relates to Vedic Tvasthar/Kashyapa, the Vedic father-creator Sky God, who is also a name for the father of Manu (RigVeda X.17.1-2).
